HP today expanded its graphic arts portfolio to help its customers print top-quality, high-value materials and capture a larger share of a $124 billion global digital printing market.(1)

A new formulation of inks for the Agfa Anapurna M-series of hybrid printers has been introduced. It improves flexibility on a wide range of rigid and flexible materials. This new generation UV-curable formulation, designated G2 UV, is incorporated into all new :Anapurna M machines, with upgrades available for existing models. The :Anapurna G2 inks will be available from June 2010.

Agfa Graphics announced the launch of the new :Agora® ink product family, designed and manufactured by Agfa Graphics. It consists of two new ink lines that are ideal for the next generation single pass "piezo" print heads offering photo-quality resolution at record-breaking speeds. These inks are compatible with major inkjet head suppliers such as the Kyocera KJ4A. The :Agora® D ink family is utilised for document printing including transactional, transpromotional and newspaper printing. The :Agora® G ink family is designed for general purpose printing: flexible packaging, labels, folding carton applications, shelf ready packaging, POS and specialty printing applications. These new inks are commercially available starting at IPEX 2010.

At the FESPA in Munich from June 22 to 26 this year, everything at the ColorGATE booth will revolve around Productionserver 6, the brand-new version of the universal production RIP with its wide range of additional new functions. At a booth of their own (B1/350), the ColorGATE specialists will demonstrate, among other things, intelligent workflow solutions for color-accurate campaign printing in heterogeneous production environments with Productionserver 6.

EskoArtwork (www.esko.com) will demonstrate during Fespa 2010, at Stand 270 in Hall B1, its comprehensive portfolio of end-to-end workflow and digital finishing solutions.

Spandex has broadened its growing accessories range with the addition of a convenient and cost-effective starter-sized fluid kit comprising four refillable one litre spray bottles of its popular ImagePerfect™-branded cleaning and material preparatory fluids.

At IPEX 2010 (Hall 10 Stand C260, NEC, Birmingham), Epson will demonstrate the multi-purpose flexibility of the Epson Stylus Pro inkjet printer for small to medium commercial print firms and inplant facilities.

At Ipex 2010 in Birmingham (18th – 25th May), RW Coatings Ltd will presents its brand new varnish range cured using LED-UV technology. Along with other benefits, this pioneering technology offers significant energy savings (60% and more) and eliminates the need for air exhaustion since no ozone is generated any more during the drying process.

The European Digital Press (EDP) Association has recognised the Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 24-inch printer as the ‘Best Proofing Printer of the Year 2010’ in its prestigious 2010 awards.
