A great interest for ROLLSROLLER Traffic

Introducing ROLLSROLLER® Traffic - the application table that is specially suited for the production of road signs. Reklamidé, a company based in Karlstad, Sweden, recently had a first showing of the new applicator at the Intertraffic fair in Amsterdam, and there was a great interest in the product.

Grapo Technologies, a manufacturer of UV large format roll-to-roll and flatbed UV printers based in the Czech Republic, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Orafol Europe GmbH, a leading manufacturer of self-adhesive graphic products, special tape systems and reflective materials.  Both companies agreed  to develop an application package that uses Grapo’s Octopus UV digital printers and specially developed inks to digitally produce reflective traffic signs using Orafol`s microprismatic reflective film systems, replacing screen printing technology for many sign applications.

Display FR 220g is proving a popular choice for exhibition graphics as its dense structure helps obscure supporting frameworks. Also used for internal and external banners, soft signage, retail display graphics, stretch frame art reproduction, murals, pop ups, display systems, promotional advertising applications and even personalised soft filled products.

Screen has appointed independent company Bauer + Bauer as distributor for its range of large format digital print solutions to the industrial screen printing market in Austria.

In an industry that focuses on visual communications, there was no place better to be than ISA International Sign Expo 2010 in Orlando, April 7 – 10. Nearly 17,000 attendees from around the globe visited hundreds of exhibitors in over 160,000 net square feet of exhibit space on an expo show floor that was the largest it has been since 2008. Seventeen percent of exhibitors were new and/or first time exhibitors, clearly indicating the sign industry is on the rebound following the recent economic downturn. Despite the challenging economy of 2009, 2010 appears bright for the sign industry.
